Air India will launch a third daily flight between Mumbai and Bangkok beginning July 7, 2025, increasing its total frequency on the route from 13 to 18 weekly flights. This development is part of the airline’s broader strategy to boost regional connectivity and meet surging travel demand across South and Southeast Asia.

The new flights are set to operate using Air India’s retrofitted A320neo aircraft, which feature a three-class cabin configuration, including Business Class, Premium Economy, and Economy Class. These upgraded aircraft offer improved passenger comfort, modern interiors, and enhanced in-flight entertainment options.

The move will contribute over 7,000 additional seats weekly across Air India’s Bangkok, Colombo, and Kathmandu routes. Bangkok remains one of the most popular international destinations for Indian travelers, with growing interest among both leisure and business segments. The increased frequency is expected to provide greater flexibility for travelers while supporting bilateral tourism and economic ties between India and Thailand.

This expansion aligns with Air India’s ongoing post-privatization transformation, which includes investments in fleet modernization, improved service offerings, and stronger regional operations. The addition of Premium Economy on the Bangkok route also reflects a rising demand for more affordable comfort options among mid-tier travelers.

Flight schedules and booking availability for the expanded services will be released soon on Air India’s official website and authorized travel partners.
