Mahidol University International College (MUIC), Thailand’s first institution offering international programs, marked a major achievement with the Accreditation Showcase held on September 27, 2024, at the Aditayathorn Building. The event celebrated MUIC’s global accreditations, reinforcing its 38-year legacy of leadership in international education.
The college’s programs have received accreditation from several esteemed global organizations, reflecting its commitment to educational excellence, continuous innovation, and development. Among the accrediting bodies are:
- AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business)
- AUN-QA (ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance)
- UN Tourism.TedQual (Tourism Education Quality)
- NEAS (National ELT Accreditation Scheme)
- ACS (American Chemical Society)
- CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst Institute Affiliation Program)
- CAS (Casualty Actuarial Society) University Recognition Program
Prof. Chulathida Chomchai, M.D., Dean of MUIC, emphasized the importance of these accreditations, stating that they serve as a roadmap for ongoing curriculum enhancement, preparing students with international skills and experiences necessary for success in today’s global landscape. She added, “Accreditation requires continuous development, and we aim to modernize our curricula, prioritize faculty development, and expand global partnerships.”
The Accreditation Showcase featured panel discussions with program directors and presentations from distinguished alumni, including Khun Pobek Pornpongmetta, a news anchor and special lecturer, and Khun Pattamon Mekavarakul, Vice President of Cape Dara Resort Pattaya. These success stories highlighted the impact of MUIC’s accreditations on student opportunities and global recognition.
The event concluded with networking opportunities, fostering dialogue among esteemed guests, faculty, and the media. This momentous occasion underscored MUIC’s ongoing commitment to providing students with world-class education and reinforcing its status as a leader in higher education in Thailand and the region.
