Thailand is making strides as a leader in Southeast Asia’s electric vehicle (EV) market, with a 6% growth in the first ten months of 2024, despite global challenges slowing EV adoption.
At the Bangkok Motor Expo, the Thai-European Business Association (TEBA) hosted a panel featuring key players in the automotive industry. Bosch, represented by Joseph Hong, Managing Director for Thailand and Laos, joined speakers like Wirat Tatsaringkansakul, President of Mercedes-Benz Thailand, and Gael Boussiere, Managing Director of Umicore Thailand. They discussed how adaptability is crucial for navigating shifting market trends and consumer needs in the EV industry.
Joseph Hong shared Bosch’s vision for Thailand’s mobility sector, emphasizing the importance of flexibility in responding to technological advancements. He highlighted Bosch’s confidence in the government’s initiatives to support the automotive transformation.
Bosch’s active involvement in TEBA includes contributing to the Future Mobility white paper, addressing key challenges and offering insights to promote innovation and sustainability.
