Forvis Mazars Hosts Forum on Thailand’s Future Growth in a Changing Global Economy

Forvis Mazars Stresses Adapting to Global Shifts at “Annual Forum 2024: Future Thailand: Pioneering Growth in a Dynamic Economy.”

Bangkok, October 2024 – Forvis Mazars recently held its Annual Forum 2024, titled “Future Thailand: Pioneering Growth in a Dynamic Economy,” focusing on Thailand’s economic development.

The forum gathered experts from multiple sectors to discuss Thailand’s economic trajectory, emerging trends, and the need for organisations to anticipate upcoming challenges. With over a hundred business leaders in attendance, the event provided updates on legal, tax, and technology developments and encouraged networking among investors, entrepreneurs, and specialists.

Opening the event, Forvis Mazars’ Thailand Managing Partner, Mr. Rob Hurenkamp, highlighted the challenges Thai organisations face in today’s fast-paced global economy. “This forum is a vital platform for sharing knowledge on economic trends and regulatory updates that will impact Thai companies and individuals operating abroad. Organisations need to be prepared to navigate these challenges,” he noted.

Dr. Arnunchanog Sukondhavat, Director of Macroeconomic Strategy and Planning at the NESDC, addressed factors shaping Thailand’s economic future. Key influences include shifts in political landscapes, evolving trade policies, and rapid technological developments like AI, IoT, and blockchain.

These advancements present both opportunities and risks, with sustainability as a core issue. Thailand must adapt to climate change and resource scarcity by embracing sustainable business practices.

The event featured insights from Forvis Mazars’ experts, including Outsourcing Partner Mr. Jonathan Fryer, Legal Partner Mr. Chatchawat Kriengsuntikul, Tax Partner Mr. Jonathan Stuart-Smith, Financial Advisory Partner Mr. Prasenjit Chakraborty, and Audit Partner Ms. Tippawan Pumbansao, among other senior executives.
