Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited is promoting climate action by urging businesses in its supply chain to measure and manage their carbon footprint. Mrs. Gloyta Nathalang, Senior Executive Vice President of Sustainability Management and Corporate Communications, emphasized the need for companies to integrate carbon tracking into their operations to support the shift to sustainable energy. Bangchak aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030 and net-zero emissions by 2050 under the BCP 316 NET strategy.
At two key sustainability forums, Mrs. Gloyta called on businesses to engage in emissions reduction efforts and adopt corporate carbon footprint assessment tools. The Carbon Markets Club has developed a tool to help organizations track emissions and utilize carbon market mechanisms to support clean energy transitions.
During the Collaborating for Sustainability Seminar, hosted by INSEE Ecocycle Company Limited at Grand Centre Point Pattaya, Chonburi, on 7 February 2025, Mrs. Gloyta delivered a keynote titled “Green Energy Transition and Sustainability Journey – Action Toward Net Zero Journey.” She outlined strategies for clean energy adoption and net-zero pathways before an audience of INSEE Ecocycle executives and partners. Mr. Bruno Fox, CEO of INSEE Ecocycle, reinforced the company’s commitment to sustainability and environmental leadership.
Further advocating for carbon management, Mrs. Gloyta took part in the Net Zero Accelerator Program (NZAP) 2025, an initiative by SCG (The Siam Cement Public Company Limited) to assist businesses in reducing emissions. She joined a panel discussion on “Trade Mechanisms and the Carbon Market” at SCG Headquarters, Bangsue, on 14 February 2025. The session featured insights from Mr. Patkamol Tattipong, Senior Trade Negotiation Officer at the Department of Trade Negotiations, and Ms. Anothai Sangthong, Director of Communications and Carbon Registry Office at the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organisation (TGO).
Bangchak continues to push for carbon footprint assessments and market-based climate solutions, reinforcing its role in advancing sustainable business practices.
