True Internet Data Center (True IDC), part of Charoen Pokphand Group, has secured the 2024 Sustainability Impact Award from Schneider Electric. The company was named Thailand’s national winner for its focus on low-carbon digital infrastructure and operational efficiency.
The award celebrates companies that show clear, measurable progress in reducing environmental impact through technology. Competing with entries from several countries, True IDC stood out for its consistent push towards greener operations.
True IDC’s sustainability plan stands on three core actions:
- Strategize: Sustainability is embedded in the company’s overall business strategy.
- Digitize: Digital tools are used to streamline operations and reduce waste.
- Decarbonize: Emissions are lowered using renewable energy and smarter infrastructure systems.
The award was handed over by Mr Wittaya Warunchaichana, Business VP of Secure Power at Schneider Electric Thailand. Mr Sanae Piewrattanakul, True IDC’s Head of Operations, received the award on behalf of the company.
Mr Sanae shared that the award highlights the company’s direction to make sustainability part of day-to-day operations. Some of the projects in place include solar panel installations, AI-driven cooling systems, advanced data center monitoring, and a dedicated sustainability team. These moves support both the company’s goals and global sustainability standards.
Mr Wittaya praised the team’s achievements and said Schneider Electric is proud to offer technologies that enable impactful and scalable environmental solutions.
