Royal Phuket Marina (RPM) has been certified carbon-neutral for the second year running by the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organisation (TGO). This distinction reinforces RPM’s position as a sustainability leader, redefining luxury through environmentally friendly innovation.
Innovative Eco-Friendly Practices
RPM integrates renewable energy into its operations, with solar panels generating up to 38% of daily electricity needs. The marina also employs solar-powered Seabin V5 technology, capable of collecting 48 kilograms of debris and microplastics from the water daily. Additionally, rainwater collection systems reduce municipal water dependency for boat cleaning.
Visitors benefit from solar-powered EV charging stations, enabling 100% renewable energy vehicle charging, further solidifying RPM’s eco-conscious leadership.
Commitment to Green Luxury
RPM champions environmental preservation without compromising luxury. Chairman Gulu Lalvani states, “We’re setting new standards in sustainable luxury, creating unforgettable experiences that also protect the planet.”
Lalvani, instrumental in eliminating yacht import taxes in Thailand, established RPM in 2004 to promote Phuket as Asia’s yachting hub.
